This role will facilitate and advance sustainability and social value initiatives across the division underpinning our commitment to social value and environmental best practice, driving sustainable outcomes that reflect our corporate values and community priorities.
Responsibilities include;
• Identify, develop, and integrate social value improvements and initiatives across site operations to ensure the fulfilment of our sustainability targets, particularly concerning Goal 13, net zero goals and community engagement.
• Develop sustainability competencies within our sites, sharing best practices and knowledge through training, advice, and supporting initiatives
• Execute these initiatives on divisional projects.
• Establish and nurture proactive and open relationships with local stakeholders, community organisations, and customers.
• Engage collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to promote and implement social value projects.
• Communicate successful social value initiatives via newsletters and assorted communication channels.
• Organise and deliver events that enhance our social value goals and community engagement.
• Use relevant SV frameworks, such as TOMs, Thrive, and the social value portal, to monitor and report social value contributions.
• Analyse data to reveal trends and potential improvements in social value and sustainable delivery methods.
• Review and assess project performance to confirm the enactment of carbon reduction measures annually.
• Assist in environmental data collation, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 data collection via Smart Waste, ensuring precise environmental and sustainability reporting.
